For this project, Chuck was the general contractor for a complete removal and remodel of an ensuite main bathroom in West Dundee, IL. The bathroom was original and 25 years old. It contained a built in jetted tub which overtook the room and wasn't used by the homeowners. Because of this, the shower was also walled in on three sides and much smaller than the homeowners would have liked. The vanity was also very large yet had too little storage and a single mirror and single long light fixture with builder grade cabinets. The homeowners had been here for 10 years and were ready to make this space their own.

Chuck worked with a designer from a local kitchen and bath design and supply house who came up with the initial design and layout. The homeowners provided the tile for this bathroom which included plank style ceramic for the floor and large format ceramic wall tile for the bath and shower area, as well as the pebble style tile for the shower nook and floor.

Chuck and his crew did the whole demolition of the old bathroom, reinstallation of drywall and cement board, subfloor installation, water damage repair, all new lighting, electrical changes to accommodate design changes and addition of a heated bidet, all the tile installation, shower pan installation, exhaust fan, installation of fixtures, installation of cabinets, and installation of the tub and toilet.

Quartz countertop and ledge were cut and installed by a local installer, The Granite Factory out of Carpentersville, IL and they remarked on the quality of the shower pan, ledge, and cabinet installation. Shower glass is designed, cut, and installed by 20/20 Glass LLC out of Elgin, IL and is often used as a design reference for other clients.

Overall, this modern, comfortable bathroom has been a huge lifestyle upgrade for the homeowners they'll be enjoying for years to come.
